It's been a while since I went skiing ⛷️ This year, we've had a string of heavy snowfalls, so Aizu is completely covered in snow. Even from the car window on the way, the scenery is nothing but snow, and it feels so good ❄️ The last time I went skiing, my daughter was 4 years old. She didn't want to ski at all, and only wanted to sled 🛷, but this time, with guidance from her dad and coach, she was able to slide a little, and she said, "I love skiing ❤️" 😍 It was worth bringing her! 😍 On a clear day, the contrast between the sky and the slopes is beautiful, and the flurry of falling snow is just like a snowy country. I spent the first and second days of the long weekend skiing at NEKOMA Mountain. I had other plans for the day on the first day, so I started with night skiing on the 11th. It had been a long time since I'd skied at night, and I've only been snowboarding a few times since I started. My kids had always wanted to try night skiing, but the timing never worked out, so this was their first night skiing. It said it was for beginners and intermediates, and I'd skied it a few times myself, so I didn't think it was that steep, so I went, but looking at it from a child's perspective, it was quite steep, and if I had gone last year or the year before, I might have been traumatized and ended up hating night skiing at NEKOMA. The first run was a tree. I started off slowly on the Noha slope, but by the second run I was skiing normally and was able to ski smoothly enough that if I let my guard down I'd be left behind. I'm improving my skills nicely while playing around with the terrain. I like the beginner's course at NEKOMA North, but I prefer the ALTS Express course at NEKOMA South because it's longer and has a more challenging slope. Before I knew it, I was able to go down the lift by myself. On the middle day, I skied from early in the morning, moved to a different spot, and skied at night.
